June Lake Loop Women's Club

The June Lake Loop Women’s Club (JLLWC) is one of the most active, longstanding organizations in the Loop. Operating since 1963, they filed their Articles of Incorporation in July 1967. They are the bedrock and movers and shakers of the community. They raised the initial funding to build the June Lake Community, have helped fund playground equipment in the park and major improvements to the Community Center among other projects. They give thousands of dollars in scholarship money annually. They also support needs of the community members and other organizations, making donating to support the Theater Fest. Kid’s Theater Camp, June Lake Jam Fest, Little Loopers, as well as Lee Vining Schools student clubs and activities. They manage the June Lake Cares fund which assists community members with financial hardships.

The June Lake Thrift Store, located in the Community Center, is operated by JLLWC volunteers and the money raised supports the Women’s Club’s projects.

The also host many community events throughout the year: St Patrick’s Day Dinner, Red, White and June, Turkey Bingo, Holiday Wreath Making, Tree Trimming and Breakfast with Santa. And their bake sales at the Firemen’s BBQ and the Autumn Beer Fest are legendary.
