DESCRIPTION:Fishmas marks the June Lake Fishing Opener and the official start of the summer fishing season. Taking place on April 25\, the last Saturday in April\, this popular weekend brings families and returning anglers back to the Loop to celebrate opening day on the water. \nOpening weekend includes Ernie’s Monster Fish Contest\, where anglers compete for the biggest trout caught across Loop lakes and streams\, with categories for different species and ages. The event is a long-standing June Lake tradition and a highlight of Fishing Opener weekend.

Volunteers will meet at the Gull Lake Park and Community Center parking lot\, where trash grabbers\, buckets\, and bags will be available thanks to Sierra Trash Eliminators. \nA large dumpster will be on site courtesy of D&S Waste Removal. Please note that the dumpster is for cleanup debris only and cannot accept household trash\, biohazard materials\, paint\, oils\, or other hazardous waste.
